My journey into coding began at CodeClan on May the Fourth 2020, undertaking a 16 Week, intensive, Professional Software Development Course. This consisted of over 800 hours of instructor led tutoring and guidance. I have built up exctensive knowledge of several new languages, working methodologies and technologies. These skills were implemented to create a range of applications on my own or as a part of a team, entirely remotely, to cement my learning and understanding.
Half-Baked – In this Group Project, my team and I created a full-stack application to call upon an external web API in 4 days. Using a React framework to display, filter and search for recipes by ingredient, dietary needs and intolerances. A spring backend would store the user’s data and in turn their favourite and excluded recipes.
PokéVue– PokéDex application
CritterWatch – My first project incoporated Ruby and Sinatra, CSS and a SQL database. Designed for children to log, amend or delete animal observations. Custom seeds were implemented for a range of animal types and observation locations.
In this new role I am looking forward to contributing to the creation and maintenance of a new Social Security System.

Field Specialist II
During my employment for the 3rd largest Oil & Gas Service company, I served on over 15 projects including NordStream 2 – Russia & Germany, WREP - Georgia, TurkStream - Russia & Bulgaria & Mafumaria 2 - Angola.
Taking on various roles from equipment operator, team supervisor, field engineer, logistics operator and document controller. I have worked in a wealth of challenging environments, embracing different cultures and mindsets and working to tight deadlines. These roles have enabled me to conduct risk assessments, detailed operational reports, write sequential procedures, handle management of change processes and deliver Agile style toolbox talks before all tasks.
My first foray into the Oil and Gas Industry allowed me as a Project Engineer to work on a variety of large projects including the COGA project between Congo & Gabon, Jubilee in Ghana and working with the client developing leak testing procedures for over a year with ConocoPhillips for the Jasmine Project. I developed skills in operating many diesel driven fluid, air and nitrogen pumps and use of calibrated testing equipment.
4th Marine Engineer, Officer of the Watch
During my time with ZMA I gained hands on technical knowledge, practical experience, ability to work as a part of a multicultural team and adapt to challenging and demanding environments. It allowed me to travel the globe on containerships, away from home for months at a time, learning about the industry as a whole, along with the skills to repair and maintain pumps, water generators, diesel driven electrical generators and some of the largest 2 stroke 100000hp engines installed in a containership.
During my employment at HBOS I progressed my career from customer facing cashier role, handling sums of money, engaging with the public ensuring all transactions were correct and compliant. I moved to the role of Banking Advisor, where I would meet with customers and talk with them regarding their accounts and aspirations in order to provide suitable product recommendations and to seek potential for further sales or saving opportunities.
